Goran Dragic to Heat

Goran Dragic was born on May 6, 1968. Dragic is a Slovenian professional basketball player who now plays with the Miami Heat. Dragic just got traded to the Miami Heat on February 19, 2015 from the Suns. He plays the point guard position and is very affect player. Before Dragic played basketball he played soccer, but he had an injury that caused him to switch sports. I hope he is welcomed by the fans and players in Miami.

Dragic wanted out of the Phoenix Suns because he was not liking it anymore. He wanted to go to another team where he could have a chance at a NBA title. His brother, Zoran was also traded from the Suns to the Heat as part of the Dragic deal. In exchange the Heat would trade Danny Granger, Norris Cole, Shawne Williams and Justin Hamilton and two first round picks for Dragic. The Heat sent Norris Cole, Justin Hamilton, and Shawne Williams to New Orleans for John Salmons. For Danny Granger, he is a veteran so he can either go to the New Orleans or stay in Miami.  

I'm excited to hear that the Miami Heat got Goran Dragic and his brother Zoran. I'm also sad to say that the Heat lost Noris Cole. Norris Cole has been on the Heat for three years and it's sad to see him leave. I think that Norris Cole will do an awesome job for the Pelicans for the rest of the season. I'm also glad that he left because to me there was too many point guards on the Heat and I felt like Cole was not getting enough playing time.

Since Dragic is joining Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, and Luol Deng on the Heat, I believe that the Heat might have a chance to make it to the play-offs this year. That's if they can climb back up to the top. The 28 year old Dragic has been waiting for this moment to leave the Suns and play with a team like the Heat. I have not really watched Dragic play basketball, but what I have heard he is is very good. He is a good ball handler, he can shoot, and attack the hoop really good. Dragic was done with the three guard approach in Phoenix, where he played with Eric Bledsoe and Isaiah Thomas. Dragic noticed a lot of decreases while he was playing with the Suns and one example he noticed was that his dribbling went down forty percent, which was from this season to last season.

I believe that the Heat getting Dragic means that the Heat are desperate to make something happen. Since Lebron left the Miami Heat the Heat have been having problems getting wins and I hope that Dragic can get wins for the Heat. The whole reason why the Heat would make a three way trade is because they know they need to make it to the playoffs. I'm a Miami Heat fan, I hope that the Heat can come back and make it in the playoffs.

Ray Allen wants to make a decision after the All-Star break

Ray Allen has to make a decision after the All-Star break. Ray Allen is still undecided on where he wants to go or if he even wants to come back. Allen has to make a decision really quickly because if he does not then he won't be playoff-eligible. Allen is facing a deadline on if he is coming back and if he does what team he will go to. Right now there are eight teams that are all interested in Ray Allen. The teams that are interested in Ray Allen are Washington Wizards, Cleveland Cavaliers, Golden State Warriors, San Antonio Spurs, Miami Heat, Los Angeles Clippers, and Atlanta Hawks.

Ray Allen is an awesome player to watch, but right now he has missed so many days and I don't know if he will be ready to return to the NBA. I believe the main reason why he is missing so many days is because he wants time to himself or be with his family. You don’t really get to do that in the NBA. I'm not to sure if he has even been showing up to practice or if he is having his own little practices. I have seen that Allen has changed his diet and that means that he just might return. Allen is 39 years old and his health has to be almost perfect for him to return to the NBA.

Ray's role in the NBA is a three point shooter and this will be a factor when considering which team he might go too. The Atlanta Hawks have became more of a contender to sign Ray Allen because Allen loves to shoot three's and the Hawks are all about the three's. The Hawks are also at the top of the Eastern Conference right now and I know if Allen does come back that he will go to a team that is doing well. The Cavaliers want Allen, too, and LeBron James from the Cavaliers met up with Allen to convince him to come and play in Cleveland.

I would like to see Allen go to a team where he is comfortable and plays to the best of abilities. I want him to sign with the Heat. I believe that the Heat need Allen right now because a lot of players are hurt. Allen would hopefully get a lot of playing time and, looking at the previous games that he did play before taking a break, he would be a starter. The only thing that might not get him the starting position is that he has been out for a long time. Overall, I believe that Ray Allen needs to go to the Heat.

Allen is by far the best three point shooter in the NBA because he holds the record for most three's. Over the last five years I have watched Allen play and I began to like him. For those five years I have always wanted to be a great shooter and make a lot of three's. I have not reached that goal, but I'm trying to meet that goal and it's really hard. I have no idea what Allen is going to do, but I hope he is effective like he was in 2014.

My reaction to the Superbowl

The NFL Super Bowl XLIX took place Sunday, February 1 at the University of Phoenix Arizona. I, unfortunately, was traveling back home while the Super Bowl was going on. When I landed back home the score was Seattle Seahawks 7 and New England Patriots 7. My uncle and cousin who loves the Seattle Seahawks wanted to get back home to watch the game so they made me kind of rush out at the airport. I got my bags and we were off back home. When we got home I did not have any help taking my bags into the house. Both my uncle and cousin ran into the house and up the stairs to see what the score was. It was pretty quiet at first when I put my first bag in so I figured that the score was either tied or Seattle was losing. I put the rest of my bags into the house and decided at that moment that I was not going to watch the game just yet.

I went and did my own things for a while like unpacking my suitcase, and cleaning up. I did go upstairs a couple of times because I was curious about what the score might be and it was 14 to 7; New England Patriots were up a touchdown. I really hoped that Seattle wins the Super Bowl. I do not like the New England Patriots because a couple of years ago they cheated during the regular season. The Patriots were able to hear the other teams defensive plays and I'm not sure what else. If the Patriots won the Super Bowl than I would not care, but I'm uncle and my cousin would have cared.

It was about to go into the halftime show when my uncle called me from down stairs. I hurried and went upstairs to see what was going on. My uncle said, "Look at the TV". I looked and Seattle was really close to scoring before the half. It got very exciting from that point on so I decided that I was going to watch more of the game. Seattle was still debating on whether to kick the ball or score. I said that Seattle should kick the ball because they only had six seconds left. My uncle was not too sure about what to think so he just watched, and my cousin agreed with me. We watched carefully because we did not want to miss anything. At first the kicking team came out, but then they changed it back to their offensive team. It got quiet in my house for about a minute and then it got loud because Seattle scored before the half.

I really can't remember watching the halftime show. I was either doing something or using the bathroom while the halftime show was on. Whatever I was doing it was more important than watching the halftime show I guess. It was the third quarter and the whole quarter Seattle was doing pretty good. Seattle got so good that they went up ten points so I was thinking to myself that the game was over, but it was not. There was still a lot of time left in the game and I was getting excited because Seattle was up ten points! I knew that it was going to be hard for the Patriots to come back, but what do they do, they come back.

The fourth quarter I believe was the most exciting quarter of all. It was not because the Patriots won the Super Bowl, but how athletic the players were to make some ridiculous catches. Seattle got the ball back from the Patriots after they scored a touchdown so know the score was 28 to 24. Seattle could not settle for a field goal so they had to go for a touchdown to win. Wilson who is the quarterback for Seattle throw the ball towards the right side of the field and it hits one of the Patriots player and lands right in the hands of a Seattle fan. The throw was anywhere from the 30 yard line to the 50 yard line. Seattle was on the 1 yard line and I thought Seattle was going to win, but what does Seattle do they throw the ball instead of running it in. The throw got intercepted by one of the Patriots players and that was the most shocking thing I have ever seen. Overall, the game was very exciting and tense I hope to see more Super Bowls like that.
