Miami Heat guard, Dwyane Wade, was fined $15,000 for making an obscene gesture during Wednesday night's loss in Charlotte. This game in Charlotte was not a easy game for the Heat. The Hornets have held three teams to only scoring 80 points on them. Even though the Hornets are not doing good this year, I think that it is awesome that they’ve held their opponents to only scoring 80 points. I thought that the Heat was going to win this game without a problem, but that did not happen.
Let's get back to why Wade was fined $15,000 for an obscene gesture in the Heat vs. Hornets game. I did not get to watch this game because, like I told you guys, I don't have cable at my house right now. From what I heard, Wade was frustrated at the end of the third quarter because the Heat players missed three shots before going into the locker room. Wade make an obscene gesture to one of the referees and he got away with during the game, but was later fined for it. I feel Wade's pain when you get frustrated and it's really hard playing in a bad mood because you let your emotions get the best of you.
The obscene gesture that Wade did in the game against the Hornets was sticking out his middle finger to the Hornet's crowd. Like I said in my second paragraph, emotions sometimes take control. This is awful on Wade's part because he had no right sticking his middle finger out and, especially towards the crowd. I look up to Wade and this just hurts me. I really do hope that Wade apologize to the Hornets crowd to his own teammates for getting frustrated.
Wade has to understand that little kids and adults look up to him while he is playing basketball. Even the crowd comes to watch, just like in the Hornets stadium there might have been a couple of Heat fans there and seeing what Wade did makes that person not like Wade or the Heat anymore. I think that Wade should have been fined a little more than just $15,000 because to him that is nothing. That is like wallet change for him.
Overall, Wade is an awesome player in the NBA and everyone messes up, but this was pretty big. I will always look up to Wade, but I won't do what he does and stick out my middle finger to the crowd. I just can't believe that Wade up and got so mad that he flipped of the crowd; that just breaks my heart. I can't empathize enough with the feeling that Wade needs to say he is sorry for what he did and I hope that he already has. What Wade did to the Hornets crowd is just as bad as him doing it to his own crowd, and that’s not right.
